Peet is pleased to have been selected as the preferred proponent* to develop the Tonsley Retail precinct. Plans are now underway for the development of a vibrant new shopping, hospitality and commercial precinct at Tonsley Village.
Subject to approvals, the vision for the centre will include a supermarket, speciality shops, cafes, restaurants and offices, in addition to a Micro-Brewery – creating a bustling lifestyle destination.

This new retail and commercial hub will further strengthen Tonsley Village as one of Adelaide’s most desired and thriving communities,Brendan Gore - Peet’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
With a focus on health, wellbeing and convenience, the precinct is set to become the heart of Tonsley, and will feature healthy eating options across its venues, as well as sites for pilates, yoga, gym and health professionals.
The current proposal is an exciting new retail hub set amongst landscaped spaces and tree-lined corridors, embracing an open-air feel, with tables and chairs spilling out to paved outdoor areas, designed to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor.
The tree-line walkways will encourage public access through the site and act as a green link to the adjacent Boiler House Brewery and Main Assembly Building (MAB). Plans are already underway to transform Tonsley’s iconic Boiler House building into a modern-day brewery, wine bar, eatery and function space.
The selection of a developer to deliver the retail centre is a vital step in Tonsley’s transformation from traditional manufacturing to thriving innovation district. Peet has worked with architects The Buchan Group and other Tonsley stakeholders to design a contemporary lifestyle destination that acknowledges the precinct’s significant history while celebrating its innovative future.
