Parkindula Village – the new heart of Bluestone
There’s an exciting new precinct at Peet’s Bluestone, Mt Barker community in the Adelaide Hills – Parkindula Village – which is set to become a new focal point and central hub for this vibrant growing community.
At its heart is the iconic Parkindula homestead which has been lovingly restored to its former grandeur and is now home to the new Bluestone, Mt Barker Sales and Information Centre. The landmark building, which was well-known for hosting impressive garden parties and hunts in the late 1800s, will also serve as a local community centre and event space for all to enjoy.
The surrounding Parkindula Village features wonderful new facilities such as landscaped parks, tennis courts, playgrounds, barbeques, picnic areas and hiking and cycling trails. There’s also an impressive new display village to explore.
The Parkindula precinct offers a range of allotment sizes with some even offering stunning panoramic views across Parkindula Village to the south.
The new Parkindula Village was officially opened on Saturday 3 February with a free community celebration which attracted a 700-strong crowd.
Peet Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said the opening marked a new milestone for the Bluestone, Mt Barker community.
“We are pleased to have invested in the restoration of the historic Parkindula Homestead which will leave a legacy for the community for years to come as well as providing a host of new amenities for residents and visitors to the area to enjoy.” Mr Gore said.
