Home ground advantage at Flagstone
Flagstone’s new adventure zone is quickly taking shape in the future city centre. A million dollar playing field is now open and construction has started on one of the biggest community playgrounds in South East Queensland.
Local rugby league fans couldn’t wait to have their first run on the new Flagstone oval. The two hectare reserve has three playing areas with grassed seating and off-street parking.

Brody Noordzy (4), of Flagstone.
Across the road, work has started on a massive adventure playground that will be the centrepiece of Flagstone’s $12 million regional park and is due to open by Christmas 2018.
The adrenalin will be pumping for anyone who loves heights as the new playground structure features an 11metre high tower (comparable to a three-storey building), with two sky cabins linked by a giant octanet and 19-metre long skybridge.
The regional park is being developed in stages as a key destination for residents and visitors across the Greater Flagstone region. It already boasts a dog park with water play equipment and a competition-standard skate plaza.
In the future, district and regional sports facilities will be built throughout the $6.7 million Flagstone City development, and the new playing fields will become part of a city centre similar in size to Toowoomba or Geelong.
