Peet Welcomes HomeBuilder Grant
POSTED ON 4 Jun 2020
The Federal Government has revealed its HomeBuilders scheme which will provide $25,000 to eligible Australians to build or renovate their home.
What is it? The new grant will give Australian home buyers access to a $25,000 grant to go towards the cost of building a new home up to the value of $750,000, or to assist with renovations of between $150,000 and $750,000.*
What does this mean? If you’ve been planning on building or renovating your home, now is the time to do so! Imagine how a $25,000 grant could help with your new home purchase. The grant comes into effect immediately and is available to couples with a combined income of less than $200,000 per year and individuals earning less than $125,000 per year.
Why now? The HomeBuilder is available for a limited time, so if you’ve been considering purchasing a new home, it is the perfect time to start that process now. HomeBuilder requires contracts to be signed between 4 June 2020 and 31 December 2020, and construction to commence within three months of the contract signing.

The Federal Government’s First Home Loan Deposit Scheme has come into effect!
The scheme aims to help eligible first home buyers on low and middle incomes gain a foothold in the property market. They now only need to have a minimum 5% deposit and won’t be charged Lenders Mortgage Insurance, with the National Housing Finance and Investment Corporation (NHFIC) providing a guarantee for the rest!
The announcement means you may not require as big a deposit as you first thought. Hurry, there's only 7,000 spaces left this year! Check out if you're eligible below.

Hilbert Park's Harmony Day Long Table Lunch
POSTED ON 28 Mar 2019
Hilbert Park residents welcomed Harmony Day with a delicious long table lunch to celebrate Australia's cultural diversity.
Residents brought a plate of food from their country to share with their fellow neighbours, and enjoyed live music.
Hilbert Park was pleased to join with neighbouring Peet community The Avenue to support Forrestdale Primary School's recent 40th anniversary celebration - with the event attracting thousands of people from the community, including students, family members and staff from the very first year group back in 1978, through to this year's cohort.
Peet will be taking cricket to the community this summer through an exciting partnership with the Perth Scorchers, having signed on as their Community Partner for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
It’s going to be one of the biggest financial decisions you’ll make in your lifetime - purchasing that house which will grow to become a home for you and your loved ones. Finding the right place can be time consuming and an emotional roller coaster. Therefore it pays to do your research on what finance options are available to you early in your journey so you can carefully consider them based on your personal circumstances.
To help begin your research, we have developed a handy guide that arms you with all the information you need to know when it comes to buying a new home. We still recommend you conduct your own research and seek advice relevant to your personal circumstances as well.
A huge thank you to all that came down to the first community event in Hilbert Park on Saturday morning. All that attended can agree that it was a lovely morning of great coffee surrounded by fantastic neighbourly conversation.
Join a NEW playgroup in Forrestdale where you can have fun playing with your child, meet other parents and familiarise your child with the school environment.
