Building stronger communities

As we come up to ANZAC Day, we feel pretty lucky to be at home here in Australia. We’re surrounded by incredible natural environments and have endless opportunities for creating a better future.

One of the biggest contributors to making Australia such a great place to live are the countless organisations doing amazing work within their local communities – and Peet is proud to support many of them through our Peet National Community Grants Program.

Our Community Grants Program is all about supporting our communities, local groups, and residents in a meaningful grass-roots way to create community connections and a self-sustaining community.

Providing grants to give motivated local groups a kick-start or well-deserved encouragement for their great work, sponsoring community events or partnering with not-for-profits and community groups to help them achieve amazing things – it’s all about building stronger communities for everyone in them.

At Shorehaven in Alkimos, WA, that’s meant partnering with Swimming WA to bring the Open Water Swim Series to Shorehaven Beach for the past few years. Shorehaven's exclusive location and passion for the ocean means the Open Water Swim is a hit with both swimmers and locals year after year. Swimming WA CEO, Darren Beazley says, “It shows that the people of Western Australia are really embracing this area” and this “wonderful, vibrant community.”

Across Australia, Peet sponsors and partners with community groups, charities, schools, residents’ associations and other worthwhile initiatives that build connections and neighbourhood bonds.

It’s those connections and support that make Peet communities such a special place to be a part of – that philosophy that creates opportunities to come together for a common purpose, to have fun, to nurture the environment, or to support each other in times of need.

Now that’s community – are you ready to join yours?
