Our founder, James Thomas Peet, established the company in 1895 with the belief that owning property and having a home of your own was every Australian’s birthright. The ‘energetic Englishman’ became one of Western Australia’s most successful and respected real estate people, and the name Peet & Co. became synonymous for ‘reasonable prices and fair dealing’.
Since that time, Peet has survived and thrived – through wars, changes in ownership, listing on the ASX and national expansion – James Peet’s legacy has lived on through the generations. Underpinning our continued growth and success are the very same qualities that were evident more than a century ago – vision; strong leadership; courage and integrity; and a passion for property. It’s a powerful heritage that sets us apart.
Lakes on your doorstep
The beautiful Black Swan and Paganoni Lakes are the key attributes of Lakelands Estate, with their landscapes providing peaceful areas to enjoy and a haven for native wildlife. Situated in the eastern side of the estate, both lakes bring serenity to the estate, and Black Swan Lake's park and playground developments will make the lake a favourite spot for children and adults alike.
Lakelands has recently opened their brand new state-of-the-art shopping precinct. Leading retailers Coles, Kmart and ALDI anchor the centre, and many other speciality stores provide locals with a variety of facilities. The Town Centre is the new social hub of the estate, providing a vibrant mix of retail, entertainment, community and soon to be residential offerings, as well as the newly opened WestSwim Lakelands.
