$16M Development Bridges Caboolture to the Bruce Highway
The commute time for motorists travelling between the Caboolture CBD and Bruce Highway will be cut with a new two-lane, $16 million bridge opened today.
Developed by Peet Limited and the Moreton Bay Regional Council, the multi-million traffic bridge is expected to carry 7,000 vehicle trips a day slashing the travel time for local motorists and alleviating traffic pressures currently experienced across the Caboolture CBD.
The bridge extends over Cundoot Creek from the Buchanan Road exit off the Bruce Highway through Peet Limited’s Riverbank estate, to Morayfield Road bypassing Buchanan Road West, William Berry Drive, Dickson Road and Market Drive.
Peet Limited CEO and Managing Director Brendan Gore said prior to the bridge opening, Caboolture residents faced regular bottlenecks in traffic.
“The new bridge development allows us to help ease congestion through the CBD and out onto the Bruce Highway, for use by all Caboolture residents and visitors to the region,” Mr Gore said.
“With the Riverbank community continuing to develop it is important that developments like this are invested in now, to ensure that there is sufficient infrastructure to cater for the future.
“We’re pleased to help make living more convenient than ever before for our residents at Riverbank and the wider community,” he concluded.

Moreton Bay Regional Council Councillor, Adam Hain, said the bridge is a fantastic addition to the infrastructure in the area, allowing easier access to the Caboolture CBD for all.
“Previously it has been time consuming and tedious for residents living outside the CBD or visitors from Brisbane to access the Caboolture CBD, although with this new bridge it will be a direct 45-minute drive to and from the Brisbane CBD,” said Adam.
The multimillion-dollar development will provide better connectivity for Riverbank residents to get around Caboolture and streamlines access to the Bruce Highway to go to the Sunshine Coast, or into the Brisbane CBD.
